Family photography is where I first started out when I started charging for my services, and as such I feel it’s where my main passion lies. As with most of my photos I really love sitting back, letting everyone get as comfortable as possible and just letting a family be themselves. I strongly believe that the best family images happen when people forget there is a camera on them, as these are the photos that truly capture the unique interactions that define a family, and this is where I believe my skill as a photographer firmly lies.

Every family is different, and as such I do everything to accomodate whatever is going to make people the most comfortable, as that’s where the best photos lie.

However, after doing this for some time I’ve certainly found optimum ways of making shoots work as let’s be honest, the little ones will only play ball for so long! For this reason, I always think it’s best to have a chat to talk about how the shoot works and what to expect beforehand so everyone is on the same page.
